How to use this screener
- Filter by exchange — see only Binance, Bybit, or OKX markets
- Sort by funding rate — from most positive (longs pay) to most negative (shorts pay)
- Volume threshold — only contracts with ≥ $5M 24h volume are shown, so illiquid pairs don’t pollute the signal
- Time to next funding — find the next closest settlement window
Funding rate interpretation
Educational examples below assume an 8-hour funding interval and a constant rate for 365 days. Simple APR = rate per 8h × 3 × 365, without compounding or trading costs. A positive rate means longs pay shorts; a negative rate means shorts pay longs. These are not forecasts or trading signals.
+0.10% or higher
At +0.10% per 8h, longs pay shorts 0.30% per day, equivalent to 109.5% simple APR at that constant rate. Higher positive rates imply higher funding costs for longs.
+0.03% to +0.10%
At +0.03% to +0.10% per 8h, longs pay shorts: 32.85% to 109.5% simple APR in funding magnitude at constant rates. The short side receives the funding payment.
−0.01% to +0.01%
At −0.01% to +0.01% per 8h, signed simple APR spans −10.95% to +10.95%. The sign determines which side pays; it does not predict price direction.
−0.03% to −0.10%
At −0.03% to −0.10% per 8h, shorts pay longs: 32.85% to 109.5% simple APR in funding magnitude, with signed APR from −32.85% to −109.5%.
−0.10% or lower
At −0.10% per 8h, shorts pay longs the equivalent of 109.5% simple APR in funding magnitude at that constant rate. More negative rates imply larger payments by shorts; they do not establish a price reversal.
Cross-exchange arbitrage
Funding rates differ across Binance, Bybit, and OKX. When BTC funding is +0.05% on Bybit but +0.02% on OKX, you can:
- Short on Bybit (collect +0.05% per 8h)
- Long on OKX (pay only +0.02% per 8h)
- Net yield: +0.03% per 8h = ~33% APR, delta-neutral
The screener helps identify these spreads in real time. Watch for gaps larger than 0.02% between exchanges on the same pair. Use the heatmap view for the side-by-side comparison.
Funding rate vs. price action
Funding is a sentiment indicator, not a price predictor. Persistent extreme funding (positive or negative) over multiple days signals positioning imbalance. The market typically rebalances via price action, not via funding mean-reversion.

Source note — why this number differs from the per-exchange table. The figure above is an aggregated, open-interest-weighted average produced by our liquidity radar; venue availability varies by sample (configured feeds: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate.io, Hyperliquid and Kraken), sampled once per minute. It is not the funding rate of any single exchange, so it will not match a specific exchange row in the table below/above. Each table row is that venue’s own individual published rate — a per-venue print, not an aggregate. That is why a per-exchange BTC rate (e.g. Binance) and this aggregate can show different numbers for the same asset at the same moment. The context shown is only for the stored symbol named above. Rates are aggregated as each venue publishes them, and venues do not all use the same settlement period (settlement intervals vary by venue and instrument), so this aggregate mixes settlement periods and is not normalised to an 8-hour base. Historical rows have no instrument interval metadata; they are preserved as recorded and cannot support annualization. Historical coverage begins July 2026. Values are estimates, not guarantees.
